A smooth-running 200-watt induction motor ensures quiet and low-vibration operation. The whetstone is continuously cooled in a water bath, preventing the tool from overheating during sanding.

The right sanding technique needs to be learned, or it is already built into the sanding tool. However, with the Tiger 2500 wet grinder from Scheppach, even beginners can achieve first-class, professional, razor-sharp results.

This sander features a rotary whetstone that runs at 90 rpm in a water bath, which continuously cools the whetstone and prevents the tool from losing its hardness through annealing. This is essential for achieving a durable grind. The smooth operation of the whetstone also contributes to a perfect result. The unbreakable water tank ensures that the workbench remains dry.

The special corundum sanding stone with aluminum oxide has a diameter of 250 mm and a thickness of 50 mm. It comes standard with the Tiger 2500, and the K 220 grit delivers excellent sanding results even on hard steel above 60 HRC.

The grinding angle can be determined correctly and easily using the angle gauge, allowing for optimal sharpening of straight blades. This helps prevent errors due to incorrect angles.

The universal sharpening jig 70 always holds the workpiece at the correct angle during subsequent sharpening, preventing slipping and the formation of edges.

The additional leather honing disc on the Tiger 2500 wet grinding machine, along with the supplied honing paste, can be used to remove burrs after grinding and polish the cutting edge. When the leather wears out, it can be easily removed and replaced.
