The PLM1800 planer machine, with its compact dimensions of 63 x 58.9 x 50 cm (L x W x H), is an ideal table model for use in the workshop or on the construction site. Two carrying handles facilitate transport for mobile use.
The PLM1800 thickness planer planes with millimeter precision from a passage height of 5 mm to 152 mm. The height adjustment is very easy via a prominently placed hand crank and a clearly visible scale for the correct measurement. Once set, the planing thickness remains constant throughout the entire work process. This allows multiple workpieces to be processed to the same thickness in succession – very advantageous, for example, when working with floorboards. The maximum planing width is 330 mm.
Two rubber-coated workpiece feed rollers and an automatic feed rate of 7.4 m/min make the work easy and ensure a smooth workflow.
The steel planing shaft with two 330 mm wide planing knives is powered by a 1500 Watt motor. With 8500 revolutions and 17000 cuts per minute, up to 2.8 mm can be planed off the workpiece per pass.
The workpiece, whether a board or wooden beam, is placed on the steel sheet thickness table and manually fed into the planer until the automatic feed takes over. The planing table is made of stainless steel and can be extended at the front and back with a foldable table extension by 19 cm each.
A generous dust extraction connection for external dust extraction ensures that chips are removed from the work area and the air in the workshop remains dust-free.

The combination of two rather imprecise scales allows only an approximate reading of the plane thickness. If you want to know exactly, you have to use a caliper regularly. But that's about it for the points of criticism. The machine is sturdily built, has good chip extraction and delivers very good planing results. For this performance, the price is reasonable. A clear buy recommendation!
