As soon as water or another conductive liquid touches the two contacts, the output voltage rises from near 0V to just below the applied operating voltage. The sensor cables can be easily extended by the user (cross-section: 3 x 0.14 square millimetersWater sensor with encapsulated electronics - ideal for occupying previously unused analog inputs in home automation and building control systems - corrosion-resistant encapsulation for maximum safety and durability for floor mounting - screw-on compact, heavy design, tough-elastic, impact-resistant, conditionally slip-resistant.The SHT 8800 water sensor is not suitable for connection to Schabus water detectors.
