Schabus GX-D500 Prof. CO2 warning device for carbon dioxide

The CO2 warning detector GX-D500 is a professional alarm device with fixed alarm thresholds set at 1.5% CO2 for pre-alarm and 3.0% CO2 for main alarm. Its applications are versatile, whether monitoring large CO2 cylinders for soda makers, ensuring workplace safety during the handling and storage of dry ice, or detecting increased carbon dioxide concentrations in small to medium-sized breweries or wine and fermentation cellars. The alarm threshold, which is clearly perceptible both acoustically and visually, has been deliberately set high to prevent false alarms caused by exhaled CO2 from people in poorly ventilated spaces. However, faults in technical systems are immediately and reliably detected. The exact alarm thresholds and protection class are based on the specifications of the technical guidelines for beverage dispensing systems in the hospitality industry. The external sensor, rated IP54 for spray water protection, comes pre-assembled with a 4-meter long 3-core cable. The sensor cable can be extended up to 100 meters using a 3 x 1.5 mm² cable. In the event of an alarm, a potential-free relay (230 V~ / 5 A) switches, which can activate forced ventilation or close magnetic shut-off valves, for example. Another potential-free relay (60 V= / 5 A) switches in case of technical faults detected by the device itself, thus informing the building management system. In monitoring mode, both relays are energized and drop out in case of an alarm or fault. A large illuminated 2 x 16 character display continuously informs about the currently measured CO2 level in percentage and, when scrolling through the display using the SERVICE button, provides additional status messages from the device. This includes monitoring the internal temperatures of the device, counting alarms, displaying an error code in case of technical faults, or recording the CO2 concentration at the last alarm in percentage.
