The development of the professional CO detector GX-C300S was a logical consequence of this. The professional CO detector GX-C300S (the S stands for the external sensor) features an internal CO sensor as well as an input for connecting an external sensor for the detection of city gas and natural gas or for refrigerants. The external sensor must be ordered separately and can also be retrofitted at a later time. For the detection of city gas and natural gas, or gas from bottles, known as camping gas, please use the GX-SE sensor. For the detection of fluorinated hydrocarbons used as refrigerants, please use the GX-CFC sensor.

Two relays: The two relays operate independently in case of alarm and fault, one for high CO concentrations or gas detected by the external sensor, and one for faults detected by the device itself. Thus, this system is ideally suited for monitoring heating and utility rooms in houses where gas appliances are located, as well as all systems with fault reporting inputs in building management technology. The designation "CH4" on the device and display represents all gases detectable by the external sensor, refrigerants, and coolants for simplicity, meaning not only methane but also butane, propane, ethanol, and much more.

Applications: Monitoring combustion sites/gas boilers in case of carbon monoxide and natural gas leaks (CO, CH4), cold storage facilities and living areas in combined heat and power (CHP) plants and biogas plants, monitoring stairwells/emergency exits from underground garages, open fireplaces in gastronomy, canteens, and mobile kitchens, heating and utility rooms with natural gas transfer points.
