Active water sensor SHT 8824 Water sensor (for 4 - 20 mA current loops) for industrial application with long cable lengths The SHT 8824 water sensor is not suitable for connection to Schabus water detectors Sensor with two stainless steel contacts encapsulated in plastic housing. As soon as water or any other conductive liquid touches the two contacts, a transistor switches the current consumption from 4 mA to 20 mA. The sensor leads can be easily extended depending on the application.
