Magnetic contact detectors are essential devices for perimeter protection. They are used to protect doors, windows, and other openings by triggering an alarm when they are opened. The K-1 detector is designed for surface mounting, fastening it with screws to a window frame or door frame. The K-1 consists of two watertight parts: the reed switch (magnetic) sensor and the magnet. Moving one part away from the other breaks the sensor circuit, which is indicated as a violation.

The K-1 is designed to work with any alarm control panel that has NC inputs and can also be used in automation systems as a control element.
