Magnetic contact detectors are essential devices for perimeter protection. They are used to secure doors, windows, and other access points by triggering an alarm when they are opened. The S-2 detector is designed for flush mounting, meaning its components are pressed into appropriately prepared holes in wooden or plastic frames of doors, windows, etc. The S-2 consists of two waterproof parts: the reed switch (magnetic) sensor and the magnet, which should be in contact with each other. When one part is removed from the other, the sensor circuit is interrupted, indicating a breach. Additionally, the detector is equipped with a sabotage loop.

The S-2 is designed to work with any alarm control panel that has NC inputs and can also be used in automation systems as a control element. It meets the requirements of the standards EN 50131-1 and EN 50131-2-6 for Class 2.
