Product details

The machine tap is made from cobalt alloyed heavy-duty high-speed steel. Its high heat resistance contributes to a longer tool life. It is suitable for through threads and bottoming threads in unalloyed and alloyed steels up to a strength of 1000 N/mm², as well as in malleable cast iron and non-ferrous metals. The thread is cut in one operation, similar to high-speed steel with cobalt alloy. This heat-resistant material is ideal for processing high-strength materials and features long cutting channels that can withstand significant heating. The cobalt content of 5% enhances heat resistance and increases the stressing capacity.

A schematic illustration is available. Smaller diameters can be supplied with a tip for production reasons.
