Self-drilling screws made of galvanized and passivated hardened steel offer all the advantages of self-tapping standard screws but can drill their own pilot holes in sheets up to 5 mm thick. Self-drilling screws should always be installed with an electric screwdriver, making them particularly suitable for fast production environments. They can be used in thin and thick sheets, soft plastics, etc., and are ideal for applications in the manufacturing of heating and air conditioning systems, as well as in the metal industry and fiberglass production. According to DIN 7504.
