The RS Pro 1327 is a user-friendly pocket-sized IR thermometer with a pistol grip for surface temperature measurements. It features a built-in laser to make the measurement point visible. Its liquid crystal display has a backlight that can be activated to assist measurements in dark locations. Other user-friendly features include automatic measurement storage, automatic shutdown, and maximum and minimum value displays. The device does not require physical contact with the object being measured; instead, it measures the infrared energy emitted by the object. This allows for temperature measurements on items such as rotating machinery, live busbars, or inaccessible objects that are difficult or dangerous to touch.
