The AlMg5 (3.3556) wire electrode with a diameter of 1.0 mm and a delivery quantity of 2 kg on a D200/S200 spool is specifically designed for MIG welding of aluminum alloys with a maximum addition of 5% magnesium. This electrode is characterized by its high resistance to chloride-containing media, such as seawater, and offers excellent mechanical properties. It is used in various fields, including shipbuilding, construction, railway, and vehicle manufacturing. For larger workpieces or plates over 15 mm thick, it is recommended to preheat them to 150°C to achieve optimal welding results. The electrode is compatible with various shielding gases, such as argon and argon/helium, and is suitable for specific wire feed rolls.
