It is even cheaper. Cut off the Schucko plug and fit a CH plug. But be careful, this is only for experienced electricians.

Are you sure that a layman is not allowed to install/change plugs himself? at 230V voltage? Example: I chop off the cable of the cable reel with the hedge trimmer, then what? an electrician has to come? no nope.

Hello, does this fixed adapter block the other sockets of a "normal" 3-way socket? More specifically: Can I also plug 2 or 3 of these adapters into a 3-way socket? (as is the case here: with the "Neriox transition plug SchuKo - T12" (article 61120276); the thing makes a very clever impression, someone has thought along with the design - I would just like it in "fix". Thank you

Good morning, I don't know if I understood the question correctly? But if you want to know if it's a bulky adapter, no it's not like other adapters, however... if you have a 3 wall socket, 3 of them won't fit, because the base of the plug is round anyway, 3 round ones next to each other won't fit. I don't know if I've explained

If the Max Hauri fix adapter (Art. 135805) has been fitted incorrectly and can no longer be removed, first disconnect it completely from the power supply. Then try to carefully turn the adapter back and forth while pulling evenly. If it does not come loose, you can apply gentle pressure with a rubber glove or rubberised pliers, but never pry with a screwdriver or metal, as there is a risk of breakage or short circuit. If it is still stuck, an electrician should safely remove the adapter. The next time it is used, ensure that it is plugged in straight and without pressure.

Are the devices earthed with a fixed adapter? I realise that the appliances with a fixed adapter fit into a Swiss T13 socket. However, the Schuko has the earthing on the side. Which leads me to the conclusion that the devices with a fixed adapter are not earthed. They are simply made to fit in. I have many appliances with a fixed adapter and it would be important to know. Thank you very much.

Yes, they will. Look at the picture in the top right-hand corner. They are earthed via the centre bar of the adapter via the hole in the Schuko.

I have several German (Schuko) plugs and need to use them in Switzerland. Most DE to CH adapters seem to block all three sockets of a Swiss outlet. Is this adapter allowing me to use my German plug while keeping the other two Swiss sockets free?

No, as the German plugs are bulky and large, an adapter cannot make them any smaller. Interestingly, Switzerland actually has the most elegant format on the market. England has the largest plugs, so the German plugs are actually small in comparison ;-) It is therefore advisable to use power strips with the plugs arranged crosswise: Skross Home Station (3 x, type 13, 1.50 m) Or you can use a short extension cable in between: Blank extension cable (0.50 m, type 12, type 13)

Why are the pins not rotated by 180 degrees? With a Schuko plug, where the cable runs at an angle, the hole for the earthing pin on the Schuko side is always opposite the outgoing cable. As the earthing pins of a Swiss three-pin socket are positioned towards the centre of the socket, this means that the cable also runs towards the centre of the socket. As the adapter on the Schuko side obviously accepts a CEE 7/7 plug, where the pin assignment (neutral and phase) on the left and right is irrelevant, retaining the pin assignment is not an argument. This leaves the use in a single, horizontally arranged Swiss socket outlet: Here, the earthing pin is indeed typically at the bottom, and the cable then also runs downwards. Of course, it would be best if both variants were available and you could choose.

I have fitted the adapter to the following mixer: https://www.galaxus.ch/de/s2/product/bosch-hausgeraete-mfq4030k-500-w-handmixer-6612619 but unfortunately one pole looks "out the back". i would touch this when i plug it in. how dangerous is this? Or was something wrong supplied? thanks for the answer

The 3rd pole is the neutral conductor/earthing. There should be a Schuko (earthing contact) plug on the mixer with a corresponding hole for the protruding pole. This makes it possible in Switzerland to use German and other appliances with Schuko plugs.

Yes there is, fixed adapter for Schuko to T23. There must be. Exactly because of the case shown here that there are also devices with >10A that are supplied with a Schuko plug. Normally, it is up to the supplier to provide the correct adapter. So that no confusion can arise. Can you leave this mains plug plugged into the socket without worry or should you unplug it after each use? Because of fire hazard etc. I will use the mains plug with a Nespresso machine with a Schuko plug.

This is a fixed adapter. This means that once the adapter has been plugged or pressed onto the Schuko plug, it can no longer be separated from the Schuko plug. The adapter and plug form a single unit. A plug adapted in this way can be used like a "normal" Swiss plug and remain plugged in permanently. If you have purchased the monitor from Digitec, you can request a cable with a swiss plug free of charge from the customer service. They are responsible to sell electrical products with swiss plugs, costumers don't have to accept non swiss plugs or buy the correct ones at their own costs.
