Yes it would be a good idea to get a memory card. After a few updates the capacity is full. Be sure not to get a memory card bigger than 32 GB! The system will not accept it!

No, you can't, but you can select "camper van" (and also "truck"). As far as I know, this has to be done via PC with the Garmin BaseCamp software (under Edit -> Options -> Activity profile).
