EGLO Connect Plug Plus
EGLO Connect Plug Plus
I couldn't get it to work either. I sent it back
No, a Smart Home socket is not mandatory. With the Eglo Connect smart home system, you can control your Eglo Salobrena-C lights via remote control or the Eglo Smart Control App by AwoX. When using Plug Plus, your lighting and other electronic devices can be integrated into the Eglo Connect system and controlled with Google Home as well as Amazon Echo voice control via Wi-Fi. Eglo Connect is not yet compatible with Apple Home Kit. To operate Eglo smart home lights with Alexa, the AwoX skill must be activated in the Alexa app. Via the AwoX app, which is part of the Eglo system, the Hue Bridge can be integrated and thus the Hue lights can be controlled as well. We have addressed this in the following article: https://www.galaxus.ch/de/page/lichtsysteme-im-vergleich-i-love-hue-oder-eglo-forever-10591
The image should be adjusted in the next few days, it is a CH version.
Good day Yes there is, but Galaxus does not seem to distribute the product: https://www.microspot.ch/de/computer-gaming/netzwerk/smart-home-komponenten--c572000/eglo-schaltaktor--p0002719015?gclid=CjwKCAiAo4OQBhBBEiwA5KWu_zKGYLubUCs5S29EA4E83MNb_nLqpRO_Lp3zya5YV5iqWSuCv4k5nhoCyVkQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
Connection from the plug to the smartphone is via Bluetooth. After connecting, the plug recognises Wi-Fi networks and displays them in the app. Then select your own network in the app and enter your password. The plug then connects to the network. The W-Lan function makes sense if the plug is to be used with e.g. Google Home. It then also serves as a bridge for EgloConnect lamps that do not have their own wifi function. I have not found a way to operate it without wifi.
The illustration is wrong. At least I got one with connections for the home CH connection. 😅
The lamps from Egloo can be controlled with the included remote control. To be able to control it with Google Home, however, the lamp must be connected to the local network. You need a Plug Plus for this, that's right. Then set it up on the app and activate the additional service in Google Home. It works for me.
According to the information found, this is a Swiss plug. Do not hesitate to contact us if this is not the case.
