I ordered a replacement motor from Hasler in Winterthur for CHF 22 and replaced it myself. The result is a cordless screwdriver that works again. You only need an M8 screwdriver to install the new motor, the motor is connected with plug-in contacts, so there is no need to solder. If I were to buy a cordless screwdriver again, I would only buy one with a brushless motor.

The machine is handy and strong, suitable for drilling in wood and aluminium, but of course not for masonry, for which it would need a percussion drilling function.
