Questions about BlueLounge CableBox Large

No, the side vents ventilate excess heat. I put a 6" power strip inside and plugged in several appliance transformers. No problems since the purchase.

I have a power strip in the box and connected the power supply unit for the 2012 MacBook Pro directly to it. A little tip: at first I thought it would be a good idea to stick the power strip in place so that everything doesn't always slide around. The idea was only partly good...

I can't judge that because I don't know the other two manufacturers. I have the BlueLounge box in different sizes and can only say that they are very robust. I have some net lines in the big one and it certainly gets warm there, but the box can easily cope with that. Then I have stored really heavy things under my work desk in one of the boxes, such as a very heavy wood/gypsum safety box for charging high-performance LiPo batteries for RC planes. The box must weigh 5kg or so and is on top of the BlueLounge for space reasons.
