Wire rope clamps according to DIN 741 are no longer considered to meet the state of the art according to the German Standards Committee and have been removed from the standard. Therefore, the dimensions specified for DIN 741 should be regarded as non-binding. We reserve the right to make changes. The item is replaced by wire rope clamps EN 13411-5 (DIN 1142). If safety requirements are imposed on the rope end connection, wire rope clamps according to EN 13411-5 (DIN 1142) must be used. According to the professional association, safety requirements exist whenever the failure of the rope end connection could endanger people or property. Wire rope clamps according to DIN 741 do not meet these requirements and may only be used for creating removable rope connections for subordinate purposes. We particularly point out the liability risks that arise for trade in this context.
