The dual motion detector is equipped with two independent sensors that ensure particularly reliable motion detection. It features a special 2-sensor technology, consisting of a passive infrared (PIR) sensor and a microwave sensor. In this two-stage motion detection, the microwave sensor must confirm a movement detected by the PIR motion sensor. Only when both sensors detect the movement does the detector trigger. The BMD01 detects movements within a range of up to 15 m x 81°. DIP switches allow for the setting of an AND/OR function and an anti-masking function. The microwave function can also be disabled via an additional 12 V control.

The dual motion detector is certified according to EN50131 Grade 2, ensuring a high level of security. It can be universally connected to a wired alarm system and allows for flexible mounting on the wall or in a corner at a height of 2.10 m indoors. The detector housing is equipped with a tamper switch that alerts to the opening or removal of the housing.
