When measuring sound levels under extreme conditions, at high altitudes, or when high accuracy of measurement results is required, sound level meters should be checked with a sound level calibrator before measurement. A sound level calibrator is also needed for the calibration and verification of microphones in audio technology, designed to generate multiple sound levels at a specified reference frequency. This calibrator features two switchable calibration levels: the "94 dB" level, which corresponds to a sound pressure of 1 Pascal, and the "114 dB" level, which corresponds to a sound pressure of 10 Pascals. These levels are output with a 1 kHz sine wave signal, ensuring that all measurements are suitable for devices of DIN IEC 60942 Class 2 and are verifiable by any audio technician.
