This compact sound level meter is designed to measure sound sources in decibels by A-weighting (dBA), which is modeled after human hearing. The multi-line LCD display is equipped with an automatic backlight, which activates itself via a photodiode when the brightness is low. Buttons for MIN, MAX or Fast/Slow selection are located on the side. This handy and inexpensive device is particularly suitable for teaching aids or home users.
