Product details
The PeakTech 5220 is a coating thickness gauge designed for non-destructive measurement of paint, color, plastic, and other coatings on metallic surfaces. This device operates on the eddy current principle and is suitable for ferrous metals (Fe) such as steel, as well as non-ferrous metals (Non-Fe) like aluminum or copper. It has a measurement range of 0 to 1300 μm with a resolution of 1 μm, ensuring high precision for industrial applications. The device features a matrix LCD display with a graphical menu interface and automatic screen rotation, available in both German and English. Key functions include minimum, maximum, and average value calculations, high and low alarms with red backlight indicators, as well as zero point and calibration options for enhanced accuracy. An internal memory can store up to 80 measurements per group in four measurement groups, with data transfer via USB cable and included PC software, compatible with Windows XP to Windows 10. This model is particularly useful for automotive paint thickness inspections, industrial metal coating processes, galvanization, anodizing, and painting shops. Made of durable plastic in white and blue, it comes complete with batteries, a carrying case, a user manual, a calibration set, a USB cable, and software. The PeakTech 5220 features an automatic shut-off function to conserve battery life and is delivered as a standalone unit.
