The piezoelectric vibration sensor is designed for continuous monitoring of vibration velocity. The sensor is available in various versions. Depending on the type of sensor, distinctions are made between design and measurement range. The sensor measures vibration velocity in the range of ± 12.7 mm/s or ± 25.4 mm/s within a frequency range of 3 Hz to 1500 kHz. The measured vibration velocity is output as a 4 ... 20 mA process current. The vibration sensor is connected in a current loop via a MIL-C-5015 connector to a control unit or process display. Depending on the design, the connection socket is mounted either vertically or horizontally on the sensor. The sensor can be operated with a voltage of 12 ... 24 V DC.
