The colorimeter is designed to perform fast and precise color measurements of surfaces. The color spaces CIE-LAB, CIE-LCh, HunterLab, CIE-Luv, XYZ, and RGB can be determined with the colorimeter. It features an LED light source with a wavelength range of 400 to 700 nm. The measurement aperture is Ø8 mm. Despite its compact design, the colorimeter has a repeatability accuracy of ΔE*ab ≤ 0.1.

In addition to standard color measurement, the colorimeter can also determine color differences. This involves first taking a reference measurement on any reference sample. Subsequently, measurements can be performed on test samples. The colorimeter displays the difference between the reference and the test sample. A permissible tolerance can be set. If the tolerance is met, a green display on the colorimeter indicates this. If the measured color is outside the tolerance, this is shown by a red display.

With the Bluetooth interface, a connection can be established to an Android-compatible device. The free app for the colorimeter can be downloaded from the Play Store. Through the app, measurement parameters can be changed and measurements can be conducted. The measurement results are displayed directly in the app, allowing for measurement comparisons to be made. If measurement values are stored on the colorimeter, they can be retrieved via the app.
