With the agricultural measuring device, you receive an instrument for the quick and accurate determination of the refractive index nD between 1.300 and 1.700. The agricultural measuring device also measures the sugar content of translucent liquids, dispersions, emulsions, or other substances. Using the included thermometer, the refractive index can be determined for a temperature range of 0 to +70 °C. To temper the device, adapters for water hoses are attached on both sides of the agricultural measuring device at the upper and lower prism holders, allowing for tempering using an external thermostat. This way, you can accurately determine the sugar content in the range of 0 - 95 % (1.333 - 1.531) with this agricultural measuring device. However, the application range is much broader: measurement and analysis of fats, oils, colors, paints, food, chemical substances, alcohols, and solvents.
