With this portable Bluetooth material testing device, roughness measurements of various surfaces can be conducted quickly and accurately. The material testing device is placed on the surface to be tested using Bluetooth. The positioning device allows the material testing device to be aligned on different surfaces. A measurement with the Bluetooth material testing device can be initiated at the push of a button. After the measurement is completed, the measured value is displayed to the operator on the screen. A graph of the surface profile is also displayed.

When measuring surface roughness, there are various measurement parameters that provide insight into the roughness of the surface, such as the maximum roughness depth, the average roughness depth, and many other measurement parameters. These can be viewed in the data storage of the Bluetooth material testing device after a measurement is completed. After each roughness measurement, the recorded values are saved in the material testing device, allowing for the storage of up to 20 measurement sequences.

To further process or analyze this data, the Bluetooth material testing device can be connected to a PC via the Micro-USB interface and read, analyzed, and processed using the free software available in the download portal. This material testing device features a Bluetooth interface that allows for a direct connection with an Android device. This offers several advantages, as the stored data can be displayed and analyzed directly on the Android device.
