The insulation measuring device PCE-IT413 and PCE-IT414 belong to a series of highly accurate, robust testing devices with a 6-digit display. This insulation measuring device is specifically designed for fieldwork and operation under challenging measurement conditions. An integrated protection circuit to prevent measurement errors due to leakage currents is one of its advantages. The insulation measuring device is equipped with a CMOS microprocessor and features both an acoustic and an optical alarm signal. The 10 kV test voltage of the PCE-IT414 is offered by very few insulation measuring devices at significantly higher prices. This allows you to effectively carry out insulation measurements even in high-voltage systems. Its unlimited calibration accuracy is guaranteed, as it has been factory calibrated for high-precision digital measurements (stored in EEPROM circuitry). The insulation resistance is the resistance in ohms in electrical systems. It is therefore of utmost importance for personal protection against electric shock and for preventing or avoiding property damage caused by uncontrolled leakage currents. Insulation measurements are used to check and assess the condition of the insulation.
