The tachometer features contact speed measurement. The measurement range for contact speed measurement is from 0.5 to 99,999 RPM. To transmit the speed, the delivery includes two rubberized measuring tips with an inner and an outer tip. In contact measurement, the speed can also be determined in m/min using the measuring wheel.

In addition to contact measurement, the speed can also be measured optically. For this, a 1 x 1 cm piece of reflective tape is attached to the test object. Through reflection, the tachometer can determine the speed. Additionally, the speed can be measured using the stroboscope function. In this function, many flashes occur in succession. For quick adjustment of the flash frequency, the flash frequency can be doubled or halved. The speed using the stroboscope function is determined as soon as the test object is continuously visible and stationary through the flash.

Besides speed and velocity measurement, the tachometer can also measure temperature. For this purpose, any type K thermocouple can be connected. If needed, a PT1000 resistance temperature sensor can also be connected. Thanks to its many functions, the tachometer can be used in various fields.
