Product details
Hardness testing device for determining concrete strength. A very robust measuring instrument with the simplest operation and a conversion table on the back. The concrete testing hammer operates on the Schmidt principle. In addition to its primary use in the construction and building sector, this easy-to-use concrete testing hammer is also employed in many other industries, for example, for testing the hardness of products on a roll. The testing is conducted with a constant impact energy of 0.735 J. The initial kinetic rebound energy is indicated as a measure of concrete hardness, surface pressure, or compressive strength (kg/cm² or converted to N/mm²). The quality of concrete is primarily assessed based on its compressive strength, as this is crucial for the load-bearing behavior and durability of concrete structures. The concrete testing hammer has a significantly lower impact energy, making it particularly suitable for testing thin-walled elements up to a material thickness of 100 mm. Compressive strength is designated by a combination of letters and numbers. For example, B 25 indicates that it is normal concrete with a compressive strength of 25 N/mm². There are various intermediate values up to the highest strength class B 55. Thus, you can easily, quickly, and accurately classify with the concrete testing hammer. The concrete testing device is always delivered factory-calibrated upon order, but can also be optionally (for an additional fee) lab-calibrated and equipped with an ISO test certificate. General information on measuring the compressive strength of concrete with the concrete testing hammer: Compressive strength generally refers to the fracture strength measured under uniaxial, short-term compressive loading.
