The gas leak detector from PCE Instruments is an essential safety device that detects dangerous gas concentrations in the air and sounds an alarm in a timely manner. It has been specifically designed for use in residential homes, offices, and similar indoor environments, and can detect both natural gas (methane) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). The detector measures gas concentrations ranging from 0 to 100% of the lower explosive limit (LEL) and triggers an alarm at just 6% LEL. With a maximum response time of 30 seconds and an alarm sound of over 70 decibels, it ensures quick safety. An integrated heat sensor alerts at an ambient temperature of 57 °C. The LCD color display shows gas values, temperature, and the remaining sensor lifespan. Through a Wi-Fi connection, the device's status can be monitored worldwide via the "Smart Life" app. In the event of an alarm, there is an audible and visual warning as well as a push notification to the smartphone. Additionally, a connected valve can be automatically activated to stop the gas supply.
