Electrostatic charges are undesirable in many processes, while in other areas they are intentionally used to achieve specific effects. The mobile electrostatic measuring device can measure existing charges on any materials. Many plastics are not electrically conductive and can accumulate charges of up to several tens of thousands of volts before discharging. The compact field meter allows for the measurement of positive and negative electrostatic charges on surfaces up to a voltage of 60 kilovolts. In production and packaging areas, unwanted sudden discharges can cause damage to sensitive components or negatively impact processes.
