Barcol Hardness Tester PCE-1000N
The Barcol hardness tester is used for measuring hardness and is primarily employed in the field of aluminum. It can also test other soft metals such as copper or lead. Additionally, the Barcol tester is used for hardness testing of harder plastics or fiber-reinforced composite materials.
The wide measuring range allows for extensive measurements with high accuracy, and the measurement values are displayed directly on the clear, backlit digital display. This display provides the capability to determine not only Barcol (HBa) but also Vickers hardness (HV), Brinell hardness (HB), Webster hardness (HW), and Rockwell hardness (HRB, HRE, HFR, and HRH).
The Barcol hardness tester is frequently used in the aluminum industry, as the broad measuring range enables testing from very soft aluminum to harder aluminum alloys. The maximum and average functions further assist the user.
Thanks to the one-handed operation and the stable base, the tester can be easily and stably operated. The non-stationary operation powered by batteries allows for hassle-free use of the compact Barcol hardness tester.
