This set consists of a left, a right, and a neutral clamping holder for HSS inserts with a cross-section of 3 x 3 mm. This clamping holder set allows for a wide range of turning operations. These inserts are only pre-ground and need to be ground further for their specific application. HSS steel (high-speed steel) is a highly alloyed tool steel that is primarily used as cutting material in machining. It has the highest fracture toughness and the best grindability, making it very suitable for precise grinding for various applications. For example, the inserts for the neutral clamping holder can be ground for grooves of different widths. This allows for the creation of grooves of varying widths using the same clamping holder. To do this, simply loosen the clamping screw on the holder and swap out the insert.
