This drill press vise is sturdily constructed and mounted on a swivel base that can rotate 360°. The swivel base can be secured to the machine table using the four elongated holes. The vise can be detached from the swivel base by loosening the two locking screws, allowing it to be used independently. When separated from the swivel base, the vise can be attached to a machine table using the six side elongated holes. The design of the movable jaw's guide prevents tilting when clamping from one side. The handle is designed as a sleeve spindle, meaning that the spindle for the movable jaw is protected within the handle. The overall length, including the handle, does not change when the movable jaw is extended. There is a cross hole at the end of the handle, into which a shaft of appropriate diameter can be inserted, serving as a lever to increase clamping force. Since the vise is made of solid cast steel, it has a relatively high weight, which enhances stability during the drilling process. The jaws, one of which features horizontal and vertical prisms, are made of steel and ground.
