For more effective work in tight spaces, the new EY74A2 has been designed to be 25 mm shorter compared to the predecessor model EY74A1. The new large-sized brushless motor delivers high power and efficiency with 32 Nm of tightening torque at an 18 V battery. The newly developed circuit control improves the stable power supply to the motor by 70%. This allows for high and consistent power output even in the most demanding applications until the complete end of the drilling or screwing process. The newly developed hybrid switch reduces the friction of the internal switch components when using the electronic run-out brake. This enables smoother operation and doubles the lifespan of the switch. The individual sensor-controlled monitoring of each battery cell ensures optimal discharging as well as automatic shutdown to prevent deep discharge, overheating, and overcharging. The switch and the control display circuit board are optimally protected against dust and water by a urethane coating. The new speed control function reduces the runout when using hole saws. This new feature allows the user to choose between three different speed options depending on the specified maximum RPM of the metal hole saws. This significantly reduces the runout of the hole saw and protects the surface, especially when using stainless steel or other sensitive materials.
