The Olympia IR500 light barrier with doorbell and alarm function consists of a transmitter and receiver. If the direct line of sight between the transmitter and receiver is interrupted by an object, this is immediately signaled via a doorbell or alarm. To ensure that the light barrier can continue to monitor the passage area even during a power outage, standard AA batteries can be used for backup power.
