Despite the very wide light beam, a range of 297 meters is achieved. The lamp is very compact and comfortable to carry. It can be charged via Micro-USB, and we provide a suitable charger with each lamp. The operation of the lamp is done via the side switch at the head of the lamp. The brightness levels are as expected from Olight: A single press of the switch turns the lamp on and off. The individual brightness levels can be cycled through by pressing and holding the switch. Once the desired mode is reached, the switch must be released. The memory function is also very convenient and well thought out, as the last set brightness level is retained when the flashlight is turned back on. If you press and hold the button for two seconds while the lamp is off, the R50 starts in the lowest mode, allowing the lamp to last for over 2 days with an economical 50 lumens. A double-click takes you directly from OFF to the turbo mode with 2500 lumens. To enter strobe mode, the switch must be pressed three times quickly. An ideal companion for outdoor activities, camping, fishing, hiking, as a searchlight, and for emergency services.
