The earplugs provide a pleasant, mid-range sound attenuation at which speech communication is still possible. At the same time, the patented special filter regulates the pressure balance between the ear and the cabin, thus counteracting the air pressure fluctuations during takeoff and landing that are often perceived as unpleasant. For travelers with smaller ear canals, each pack comes with a second pair of slightly smaller earplugs into which the filter can be inserted if necessary.
