Morakniv Locomotive

The knife from Morakniv is called Lok BlackBlade and is a robust wilderness knife with a full tang, designed for expeditions. The combination of the full-bodied handle, made from carefully selected light ash wood sourced from European FSC-certified forests, and the black blade made of recycled Swedish stainless steel makes the knife ready for tough work in the wild. Additionally, the spine of the blade is compatible with a fire starter, allowing you to ignite a campfire at any time.

The story of Lok: Lok is an important figure in the history of Morakniv. Together with Krång-Johan Eriksson, Lok-Anders Mattsson sought his fortune in the knife business at the beginning of the 20th century and founded the knife factory Eriksson & Mattsson's Knivfabrik. With Lok-Anders' brilliant intuition and Krång-Johan's business acumen, favorable conditions were created for the company we know today as Morakniv. Lok became legendary during his lifetime due to his exceptional technical talent. Locals had seen him take precise measurements with his hands without any tools, entering his workshop without losing the actual measurement. Today, more than a century later, this remains the customary method of measurement.
