Tooth geometry features variable 4 - 6 TPI Vario toothing with a positive 10° tooth angle, resulting in faster and more aggressive cuts, lower heat generation for longer tooth life, and greater tooth depths for better material removal. Specially shaped teeth reduce jamming in thin materials, while the set tooth pitch reduces friction. Less contact pressure is required due to the aggressive tooth design and effective material removal.

Tooth material consists of high-quality HSS alloy with 8% cobalt content for optimal tool life, even in metal. The bi-metal construction includes electronically welded HSS toothing on a special steel body for optimum cutting quality and extended tool life. The high wear resistance of the HSS alloy makes the hole saws ideal for demanding applications, such as cuts in stainless steel, acid-resistant metals, and softer materials like wood.

The hole saw body features a 1.27 mm thick steel body that is strong yet inherently elastic, with an effective cutting depth of 41 mm. The heavy-duty back provides high stability and lower vibration, with four pin holes for easy locking of the adapter. The precisely manufactured circular back ensures optimum concentricity, which is especially important for larger diameter hole saws. Unique recesses facilitate the removal of the drill core.
