The design features perfect ergonomics with a slim handle area for optimum guidance and fatigue-free working. The Metabo Marathon motor includes patented dust protection for a long service life. Vario-Tacho-Constamatic (VTC) full-shaft electronics with an adjusting wheel allow for operation at material-specific speeds that remain constant under load. The spindle lock and tool-free clamping nut enable quick accessory changes. Additionally, the guard plate and extra handle can be adjusted quickly and without tools. The smooth-running, positive-locking arbor ensures a uniform grinding pattern. Overload protection safeguards the motor from overheating, while electronic soft start provides jerk-free starting. Restart protection prevents unintentional starting after a power interruption, and switch-off carbon brushes protect the motor.
