With the mobile charging cables Mode 2, also known as emergency charging cables, an electric or hybrid vehicle can be charged at any standard household socket (Schuko) or CEE socket, in case no permanently installed charging station is available. The control unit (IC-CPD) takes care of all safety-related functions, such as temperature management and automatic current reduction in case of overheating.
