The Spectra rope is made from ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) and features exceptional properties. It is buoyant and retains its strength in wet conditions at 0% of its dry state. When knotted, the strength is reduced by about 50%. The break elongation is approximately 4%, giving the rope high elasticity. With a melting point of 150 °C, the rope is well protected against high temperatures. It offers excellent UV and weather resistance and is resistant to acids, oils, and alkalis. These properties make the rope ideal for demanding applications in various environments.
