The Automatic Speed Control automatically adjusts high speeds for cutting tasks or high torque for grinding tasks, depending on the requirements. The brushless motor of Makita's Brushless Technology provides more endurance, a longer lifespan, and a more compact housing. A restart protection prevents unintentional starts after the battery has been replaced, and an integrated LED warns of decreasing battery voltage and overload. The motor is also protected by an overload protection system. Additionally, the machine features a soft start. The durable 5.0 Ah battery offers 25% longer runtime compared to the 4.0 Ah battery.
