Speed controller for continuous regulation of fans. Minimum speed adjustable. Usable for surface-mounted and flush-mounted installation, exception: STX 4 is only for surface-mounted installation. Operating principle: phase-cut control. Recommended distance from radio and television devices: 3 m. Turning the control knob switches the fans on to maximum speed. Further turning reduces the speed. Splash-proof. Built-in temperature cut-off protection. Orange LED operating indicator. CE mark. Includes replacement fuse. Additional switching contact (230 V) for example for controlling a damper. Due to the phase-cut technology, a physically induced humming noise may occur at lower speed ranges. Therefore, for quiet fan operation, use 5-step transformers TRE... for speed regulation in rooms where noise is a concern. Mounting on walls is possible; avoid ceiling installation due to heat development.
