Maclean MCE468 - W PIR infrared motion detector

The MCE468 sensor is ideal for use in gardens, around the house or terrace, at gates, in passageways, hallways, basements, storage areas, garages, and other locations where lighting or other devices should be activated upon detecting movement. The sensor detects both day and night (twilight sensor) and turns on or off depending on the presence of an object within its detection range. With a detection angle of 180° and a detection distance of up to 12 meters, it enables effective monitoring of a large area.

The primary purpose of the featured sensor is the automatic control of lighting, but it is also possible to connect other electrical devices (e.g., electric heaters, air conditioners, etc.), provided that the energy receiver does not load the switch with a power of more than 1200 W (resistive load) or 600 W (inductive load). It can be used in various applications to control the lighting of a wide range of objects:

• Facades of residential buildings, yards, entrances, gates, garden greenery
• Parking lots, exterior walls of buildings, and other architectural structures
• Billboards and advertising signs, shop windows
• Many other objects, including indoors

The device can operate both at night and during the day. The TIME dial sets the lighting duration (from approximately 10 seconds to 15 minutes). The LUX dial adjusts the sensitivity to ambient light (range from 3 to 2000 LUX). If the ambient light is insufficient and you want the device to function both during the day and at night, set the dial to the daytime position (sun symbol).
