The arm is optimally balanced and holds its position without readjustment. For safety reasons, it operates at a low voltage through a separate, GS-certified power supply. The light color is daylight-like (6500k), which allows objects to be displayed in a color-neutral manner. SMD LED modules provide high brightness and good light quality with optimal heat dissipation. The lamp is suitable for many applications such as cosmetics, precision mechanics, electronics, or simply as a reading aid. Three different magnification factors of the lens are available, allowing for nearly unlimited possibilities. It is advisable to choose a slightly lower magnification, as distortions increase with higher magnifications due to technical reasons. It also serves excellently as a desk lamp. The removable lens cover does not break upon rough impacts but instead slides out of the housing with a deliberate, slight play and is easy to reinsert.

The 3 diopter (model 7213MKIII) corresponds to a 1.75x magnification (175%) and is universally applicable. The 5 diopter (model 7215MKIII) corresponds to a 2.25x magnification (225%) and is also universally applicable. The 8 diopter (model 7218MKIII) corresponds to a 3x magnification (300%) and is particularly suitable for the highly magnified representation of very small objects.
