The Fischer metal expansion anchor FMD is installed in a pre-insertion assembly. When the screw is turned in, the anchor expands, and the metal teeth securely anchor the plug in the building material. The Fischer metal expansion anchor FMD is particularly suitable for securely fastening gas and water pipes, cable and pipe clamps in solid and hollow building materials as well as in solid gypsum boards.

Advantages: The metal expansion anchor FMD is especially suitable for applications in installation technology. The external serration expands in the building material, providing high load-bearing capacity. The ribbed internal geometry of the FMD is designed for wood and chipboard screws, allowing for secure screw guidance. This offers greater installation safety and a wide range of applications.

Applications: Gas pipes, water pipes, cable and pipe clamps.

Building materials: Concrete, high-hole bricks, hollow blocks made of lightweight concrete, hollow slabs made of brick and concrete, lime-sand hollow stone, lime-sand solid stone, natural stone with dense structure, aerated concrete, solid stone made of lightweight concrete, solid gypsum boards.

Functionality: The FMD is suitable for pre-insertion assembly. When the screw is turned in, the FMD expands, and the metal serrations securely anchor the plug in the building material. The required screw length is determined by: anchor length + plaster and/or insulation thickness + component thickness or installation distance + 1 x screw diameter. Suitable for wood and chipboard screws. The drill diameter should be adjusted to the compressive strength of the building material. The higher the compressive strength, the larger the drill diameter. In low-strength aerated concrete, dimensions 6x32 and 8x38 can be directly driven in (without pre-drilling).
