Knuchel Brilliant

Brilliant synthetic resin enamel paint is a long-oil, high-gloss, and slightly thixotropic alkyd resin paint with excellent application properties such as flow, leveling ability, and open time. It results in highly opaque, elastic, impact- and shock-resistant coatings with good edge coverage. Brilliant has outstanding light and weather resistance and offers good gloss stability.

Application area: For high-quality surface protection on wood and metal in indoor and outdoor areas such as doors, windows, chairs, cabinets, furniture, railings, paneling, and soffits, etc.

Pre-treatment: The substrate must be clean, dry (not more than 15% wood moisture), and free from sanding dust, oil, wax, and other contaminants. Old coatings should be sanded or treated with a cleaning powder. A intermediate sanding with grit 180−220 can be carried out. Processing should not be below 8 °C.

Drying: Dust dry after approximately 3 hours. Touch dry after approximately 6 hours. Reworkable after 12 hours. Fully dry after 1−2 days (depending on temperature, humidity, and layer thickness).
