Product details

The Cutlass ("Boarding Knife") Machete falls under the category of "Heavy Cutting Tools." It is a medium-sized machete with a blade thickness of 4 mm, which gives it impressive durability. It fits comfortably in the hand and, weighing just over 500 g, is not too heavy for a knife of this class. The nearly 28 cm long blade features a hollow grind sharpened at a 20-degree angle and is made from black powder-coated 1085 carbon steel. The Kraton handle, which includes a framed lanyard hole, provides a secure grip and feels pleasant to hold. The sheath is a half-open combination of Cordura with a leather back and a loop for thigh attachment, which is suspended flexibly from an oversized belt loop. The knife is secured by two leather closure straps with snap buttons. Overall, it is an interesting choice if you are looking for a medium-sized, not overly heavy machete with an excellent price-performance ratio.
